Clean Play DVDs

To whom it may concern: I found a new website that sells edited DVDs, and their prices are a little cheaper than the aforementioned 'Good Movies Online'. The website is www.cleanplaydvds.com, and the selection is also 3-4 times greater than 'Good Movies' as well. I personally get excited about it because I can see some truly great movies that were previously not worth watching due to the extra useless content that was thrown in to ruin an otherwise great movie. It really annoys me how some directors, etc., feel the need to throw in extra strong foul language and the like so they can express their film in an extra "artistic" way. It's stupid. It's Bologna! You always hear how the movie business is about earning money, but at the same time R rated movies are always the lowest grossing films out there. Why not make movies that twice as many people will comfortable seeing, and at the same time you can still make a powerful, and very uplifting movie. I don't watch R rated material because it drives me bananas, but I do like to watch good movies, and sometimes I have to miss out on an otherwise good movie just because some stupid actor, or director wants a couple extra expletives in there to enlighten us all. Anywho... there's that for ya to chew on.

Yay! Thanks Brian! We always see previews on Tv for realy funny or awsome looking movies that we would love to see but then we hear that its rated R and it realy frusterates us, it especially frusterates Steve because he LOVES comedy's and most of them are R rated.

Thanks--I'll definitely look it up and further expand my "to see" list, which is getting long...

I agree with you entirely. Just leave it out! It really doesn't make any sense. You're awesome

I liked Little Miss Sunshine, thanks for letting us borrow the clean version!

Thanks for the resource! That will work better than having to keep one finger on the ff and the other on mute! I love your blog!

You're welcome Elizabeth. "Sunshine" is one of my favorite movies! And no prob Becky. Having to not worry about what "questionable material" may be ahead really enhances the viewing experience. One side note though: I got an edited copy of Apocolypto and the picture quality wasn't as good as it could have been, but it was still enjoyable. So there may be some dvds that have a slight degradation in pic quality, but Apocolypto is the only one i've encountered thus far.

Out of the two edit dvd sites i've brought up "Good Movies Online" does have 1 up on "Clean Play DVDs" as far as edit quality, but the difference isn't huge, and most of the time the quality is very much the same. Anyways, there ya go.
